The Tropical Savannas CRC has successfully passed Stage 1 of the
CRC rebid process. We have now been invited to submit a Stage 2
application, the Full Business Case, for the CRC for Tropical
Savanna Futures by 18 August, 2006.
DEST received 30 Stage 1 applications, of which 20 were
successful with around a dozen of those "new from existing"
applications. In the last round (2004), 12 applicants were
ultimately successful, plus a couple of supplementary bids, from
about 40 Stage 1 applications. It's reasonable to assume that a
similar number will be funded in this round.
The key dates to come in the process are:
