Savannas CRC CEO to head new NT Environment Protection Agency

The CEO of the Tropical Savannas CRC, Professor Gordon Duff has been appointed to chair the board of the Northern Territory’s first Environment Protection Agency (EPA).

Over the next two years this board will establish the modus operandi of the EPA in the Territory.

The appointment was announced by the NT Minister for Environment and Heritage Marion Scrymgour on Wednesday 19th October.

The NT EPA is an independent body created by the NT Government to ensure the protection and management of the environment. The two other members of the board are Professor Donna Craig of CDU and the Desert Knowledge CRC and Ms Judith King.
